‘Pisses Me Off’: Nick Kyrgios Furious Over Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas’ Comments on Novak Djokovic

The latest saga of Novak Djokovic took another turn when Australian immigration minister Alex Hawke canceled the Serb’s visa once again on Friday. As a result of this, Novak is in a pretty dire situation.

The World No.1 started preparing for the Australian Open as soon as the court released him from detention on 10th January. Now, the immigration minister’s statement means Djokovic has to leave the country with immediate effect. However, the Serbian can still appeal against the situation.

Meanwhile, Nick Kyrgios, the bitter rival of Djokovic, has something to say about the whole situation. The Australian is quite angry with the way everyone is treating the 20-time Grand Slam winner.

Nick Kyrgios supports Novak Djokovic

Last week, the Australian Superstar has tested positive for Covid but was doing quite well. If things go well, Nick Kyrgios will take part in the Australian Open. However, Nick is pretty upset about the whole Novak Djokovic situation.

Speaking to the No Boundaries podcast, Nick feels really sorry for Novak Djokovic and he wants the Serbian to take part in the Australian Open. He said, “It’s just a s**t show… it’s something new every day… it’s not even about the vaccination anymore… I feel so sorry for him… winning his initial court case and his visa is canceled again… it’s an absolute s**t show, in my opinion.”

Alex Hawke, the Australian Minister for Immigration, has cancelled Novak Djokovic’s Australian visa “on the basis that it was in the public interest to do so.”

He is also pretty upset that other players like Nadal and Tsitsipas are not supporting the World no.1. The Australian also surprised himself about the fact that the support came from him, of all people. Because in the past, Nick has been very critical of Novak, and that’s why it surprised him.

“It actually p****s me off… that Tsitsipas, Nadal, and all… obviously, everyone’s got their opinion… it’s fine… but you are only treating him like Novak Djokovic, not like a human… imagine how’s he feeling…he probably wants a little bit of support from other players… bro he’s getting it from me… like what the f**k,” Kyrgios added.

Will Novak play in the Australian Open?

We will probably know the verdict of Novak on Sunday whether or not he will play in the Australian Open, but Nick’s words will surely make the Serb feel better. It will be interesting to see whether Djokovic appeals against the decision again or not. If he loses, they could ban him for three years, which will be devastating news for him.

Meanwhile, On 18th January, Nick Kyrgios will play against British qualifier Liam Broady in the first round. If Djokovic gets the chance to play, he will face Miomir Kecmanovic on 17th January.
