One of the questions was about his favorite shoes and what he likes to wear while skateboarding. Answering the same, Hawk revealed, “When I skate I wear the Vans old school high tops just like I did in 1984.”

However, when not on the go, he likes to keep it cool and simple. “But if I’m chilling I’m wearing the slip ons, like Spicoli,” added Hawk.

Can Hawk still do a 900?

Outrageous but true, it seems that many doubt if Hawk can still do a 900 on the board. To no surprise, the answer is yes, of course, Hawk can still pull off the trick he is a master of.

“I still skate often, actually. I would say three or four times a week, especially since COVID and no travel,” said Hawk.

Even though Hawk did what he claimed to be his last 900 in 2016, he is still pretty good at it. Due to the pandemic, he got the chance to stay at home more and practice his skills and tricks. Not just that, but turns out, Hawk can even street skate.
“I went through a big street phase in the early ’90s because there were hardly any vert ramps around,” added Hawk.
However, Hawk suffered multiple injuries while street skating and, hence, decided to stick to transition and ramp skating. Well, lucky for fans, they were fortunate enough to witness a legend in the making.
