The Milwaukee Bucks have had a shaky start to the season so far. Playing without some key players, they lost a few games in between. However, now that the whole group is back, they are looking like the champions. Notably, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on top of his game once again leading this team. As they take on the Detroit Pistons. Antetokounmpo got a mean block on a Pistons player.
Giannis elevated his defense immensely last season. Coming off a season winning both MVP and DPOY, the only thing he lacked was a championship. However, last season, he made that dream come true after a dramatic finals series against the Phoenix Suns. Moreover, he solidified himself as a great rim protector throughout that series.

Now, Antetokounmpo showed shades of the finals he got a nasty block on Pistons’ Saben Lee.
Giannis Antetokounmpo with the rejection
The Bucks gave the ball away and gave the Pistons a fast break opportunity. As Saben Lee got the ball, he set his eyes for the rim trying to go coast to coast. However, he was met in the air by the ‘Greek freak’ who blocked his dunk attempt. The foul was called on Giannis, but was later overturned after a challenge.
Antetokounmpo keeps his regular season form going being one of the leading players in the league. He is putting up 27 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in the season so far. But there is a significant improvement in his ability to block shots as he averages a career high 1.9 blocks per game for the season. Likewise, he is putting on his full display against the Pistons as the Bucks try to improve their season.
Antetokounmpo is putting on a dominating performance for the Bucks once again against the pistons. He has accumulated 29 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists through three quarters. Bobby Portis has shined in his role as a starter and continues to impress after last season. However, their one major concern would be Khris Middleton’s poor run as he is once again struggling from the field.
But knowing the deers, they will surely gather themselves up going further into the season. Looking at Giannis Antetokounmpo this season, do you think he has a shot at winning the MVP? Let us know your views in the comments below.
